The process of bringing Richter's ideas to fruition was a challenging one, as the architect's design pieces were never industrially produced during his lifetime. Prostoria's team had to rely on prototypes, photographs, and sketches to translate Richter's vision into tangible furniture. One of the standout pieces in the collection is the VR51 task chair, a modern interpretation of a chair Richter designed in 1948 to transform a Zagreb art gallery into the city's Museum of the Revolution. Prostoria's version features a curved timber seat and an ultralight metal frame, making it a perfect fit for modern workspaces. The collection also includes the VR51 desk, a low-slung piece that complements the chairs and is finished in the same materials. Another highlight is the VR53 duo of armchairs, inspired by Richter's 1960s seating for the Hotel Adriatic in Umag, Istria. The VR58 sub-collection is a tribute to Richter's most famous project, the split-level Yugoslav pavilion he designed for the Brussels World's Fair in 1958. Prostoria's designers recreated two steel-framed chairs with wooden seats and backs, with softer edges for improved comfort, and a table that follows a similar style. The attention to detail is remarkable, as Prostoria's team had to engage in forensic work to analyze proportions and perspectives from archival images. The final two sub-collections, VR52 and VR61, showcase chairs and a table created using similar methods, ensuring that Richter's modernist ideas are preserved. Iva Šilović, Prostoria's architect and art director, emphasizes the importance of preserving Richter's legacy, particularly during a 'golden age' for Croatian architecture, art, and design.
